Everton could face serious charges if the enquiry of recruiting the former Watford manger Marco Silva proves to be against Premier League rules

Premier League launches inquiry for the Everton’s inclusion of former Watford manager Marco Silva

An inquiry has been set up by Premier League for the recruitment of the former Watford manger Marco Silva into Everton.

If the inquiry finds any evidence on tapping up by Everton, they could be facing serious fine or worse docking of some league points.

The lawyers that have been appointed by the Premier League for this inquiry are eligible of having any kind of information from both clubs and Silva ranging from emails, text messages to phone records.

Premier League has tried to settle this dispute between two clubs last month with negotiation and mediation but unable to do so they have set up this investigation with help of a law firm.

In the worst case scenario of Everton being found guilty of acting improperly for this trade of Marco Silva; then a three man commission led by QC will be established for considering these findings.

Many involved in this dispute hoped that the dispute will be settled once and for all for about 40 million pounds following the retirement of Richarlison from Watford to Everton.

However the meetings between both board members of Watford and Watford failed to reach a mutual agreement.

Everton on this whole issue say that they feel they have done nothing wrong here apart from offering compensation on the start of row. They claim that they are innocent of accusations like tapping Silva up.

The news for this inquiry was first reported by Times on Friday morning. The results for the inquiry are likely to be presented not before Christmas.
