Latest warning from Joshua, He is being urged to be ruthless against Povetkin who is on the same top dog level as Wladimir Klitschko.
The World heavyweight Title Fight is just underway at Wembley Stadium on Saturday night. The fight pouts Joshua’s three gold titles of IBF, WBA and WBO at stake as he is going to face off one of his most threatening opponents since his fight back with Klitschko.
Povetkin’s’ promotional team member Vadim Kornilov told media, “This is the first fight for Joshua ever since he fight someone at level of Klitschko.”
He further added, “This is going to resemble to the war that Joshua had with Klitschko. Joshua might be getting better, but Povetkin has the experience. These are the two top dogs now”.
Joshua was taken the distance in his fight against Joseph Parker but his promoter Eddie Hearn believes that with hi against Povetkin, his style is going to evolve.
Hearn said to media, “you cannot afford to be reckless against Povetkin. If you do, you are an idiot. Nonetheless, Joshua needs to be spiteful and he need to known in his mind that he can hurt Povetkin. We need to see a little ruthlessness from Joshua with being start at same time. He is got that ruthlessness in him still, but he is also a lot smarter now and tough o beat. He is now a better fighter. He can now do everything because he is the best fighter in the world right now”.
Povetkin on the other hand only has one defeat in his 35 matches. It was against his fight with Klitschko where he tired to end his reign in boxing. Olympic Champion Povetkin has held his WBA regular belt since then and has now recently beaten David Price.
