Grizzlies past Mavericks 98-88; Conley and Gasol duo once again lead the team

While all other NBA teams are relying on their offense this season, Memphis Grizzlies are relying on their defense.

The longtime partnership of Mike Conley and Marc Gasol once again led the Grizzlies for a win.

Conley scored 28 points whereas Gasol added in 17 points and 15 rebounds for the Grizzlies win against Mavericks by 98-99 on Monday night. With this win, Grizzlies have snapped Mavericks’ four-game winning streak.

Conley after the match said, “in today‘s league I think most of the teams are used to applying it easy and nobody wants to keep an eye on defense. Everybody just wants to get up and shoot 3s. So when a team that focuses on defense comes against them, then it’s a different game for them”.

Jared Jackson Jr., added in 13 points whereas Temple added in 12 points to secure Memphis Grizzlies win.

From Mavericks side; DeAndre Jordan took the lead with his 17 points and his season high 20 rebounds and as for Luka Doncic, he finished for the night with his 15 points and 10 rebounds.

Mavericks are now going to host Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday night. As for Memphis Grizzlies, they are going to visit San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday night.
