Harden scores 31 as Rockets win over Clippers by 135-103

The NBA playoffs are still a few days away but somebody has to tell Houston Rockets about that who have already locked in on the playoff mentality.

James Harden led the rockets with his 31 points while Chris Paul added in his 29 points as Rockets defeated Los Angeles Clippers by 135-103 on Wednesday night in what was a preview of the playoffs.

Mike D’Antoni, the Rockets coach said, “Chris and James are both dialed in. when these guys play like this, they are pretty hard to beat and it is pretty hard to lose.  We played unbelievably tonight.”

Clint Capella also added in his 24 points with 15 rebounds to help Rockets win their 4th consecutive game.

Harden said, “It is best we have played and it’s the right time.”

Rockets currently have the 3rd seed in the Western Conference standings while Clippers are at 6th spot. This allows them to pair up in the first round of the playoffs.

Paul said, “It is going to be a tough series, they are much disciplined.”

As for Clippers, they were led by the rookie player Shai Gilgeous-Alexander who scored 20 points while Danilo Gallinari added in his 16 points. They have lost for the first time in their three meetings against Rockets.

Up next, Rockets will play against New York Knicks while Clippers will host a game against the LA Lakers.
