Nuggets win over Spurs by 113-85 while Popovich ejected after 63 seconds

Denver Nuggets ran the San Antonio Spurs hard on the court but not before the officials ran Gregg Popovich off the court.

Nikola Jokic scored 20 points with 11 rebounds as Denver Nuggets had their sedans high of 41 assists in their game agsint San Antonio Spurs to defeat them by 113-85 on Wednesday night. In this game, the Spurs’ coach Gregg Popovich was ejected only after 63 seconds.

Other players of Nuggets; Jamal Murray scored 14 points with 11 assists as they held on to the no. 2 seed in the Western Conference standings with only 4 games left for the regular season.

Murray said, “We played like we wanted to play.”

Popovich who was angry at a non-foul call called a timeout early in the game and argued with the officials. After having 2 technical, he was sent to the locker room with only 10 minutes into the opening round.

The last time a coach was ejected within first 2 minutes of the game was Flip Saunders of Washington Wizards back on Jan 2nd of 2012.

After the game, Popovich had nothing to say. He said, “You will have to ask the officials.”

LaMarcus Aldridge and Lonnie Walker IV both scored 16 points each to lead the Spurs who with this loss are now 8th in the playoff standings.
