Hughie Fury wins over Samuel Peter in Saudi Arabia

Hughie Fury was able to defeat Samuel Peter in their fight held in Saudi Arabia. Peter was removed from the fight after he missed a punch during the time when he was being pulled away by the referee in the 7th round.

Peter had been denudated for 1 point earlier for his illegal punch. He then also threw a series of low blows that at first went unpunished but then led to a strange end in the 7th round.

As for the Hughie Fury, the ex-British Heavyweight champion had been in control of the fight at was fought in Saudi Arabia on the undercard of Amir Kahn VS Billy Dib fight.

Peter, who is the senior of Fury by 14 years, was not able to keep pace with Fury even after he had fought three fights against Klitschko brothers and that made his frustrated.

As for Fury, he was really respectful of Peter’s power that had led to him having 30 stoppage victories over the course of his long career.

Or the first 3 round of the fight Fury was the fast one while Peter the frustrated one. He, in his frustration, landed an illegal punch for which referee broken both fighters apart and Peter had got a 1-point deduction.

Following the 5th and 6th round, Peter again threw 3 low blows but was able to avoid punishment on them.

The referee was again trying to break apart both of them in the 7th round when Peter swung his hand for an overhand punch that missed and caused injury to his shoulder. Peter blamed the referee for this who himself had gotten really bloodied in this chaotic fight.

After a few minutes of discussion, the 38 years old Nigerian fighter was pulled out of the fight.

As for Fury, he now moves ahead in his quest to win a world title.  He had previously lost the title fight for WBO belt against Joseph Parker back in 2017.
