Hunter vs. Ustinov; Michael Hunter topples Alexander Ustinov to continue his winning streak in heavyweight division

On the Saturday night boxing fight between Hunter vs. Ustinov; Michael Hunter continued his winning streak in the heavyweight division by defeating his opponent Alexander Ustinov at Monte Carlo.

Ustinov had a huge size advantage in this fight but Hunter who had already defeated Martin Baloke last time came in with brute strength and blasted his way for a ruthless win.

30 years old Californian who fought majorly in cruise control did not let his opponent “Alexander the Great” a foothold by throwing a flurry of huge hooks. Ustinov dropped in the eighth round and finally the 41 years old Belorussian giant was stopped from fighting in the ninth round.

After the win, Hunter’s trainer Hasim Rahman said to media that Hunter is now set to feature on the undercard of Dillian Whyte vs. Derek Chisora on 22nd December.

Hunter aka The Bounty started off well with his huge right hands and made Ustinov sluggish in the opening rounds who was having a hard time landing his jabs.

The wide right hands from hunter wreaked havoc for Ustinov in the coming few rounds. By the end of the fourth round, Ustinov as wobbled and the skillful American fighter was aiming to finish things in the fifth with a devastating right hand. The humongous European boxer was ready to take it head-on.

In the eighth round, Hunter finally got the chance to land his huge right that sent the giant crashing down on the ropes. Ustinov rose with steady legs but survived until the bell rang.

His corner tired to send him for one final go but things for Ustinov were clearly finished after series of punches struck him hard and the towel from Ustinov’s side was finally thrown.
