Indian Wells; Britain’s Katie Boulter beats Heather Watson to reach second qualifying round

Katie Boulter of Great Britain managed to beat the America opponent Allie Kiick to reach the second qualifying round of the BNP Paribas Open held in Indian Wells.

The 22 years old Katie who is also ranked world no. 85 is playing the tournament for the first time in her career managed to gain the win by 7-5, 5-7 and 6-2 in a time span of two hours and nineteen minutes.

Boulter, who is the sixth seed of the tournament’s qualifying rounds, will now be facing the Swiss opponent Viktorija Golubic for making it to the main draw.

As for her fellow Briton player Heather Watson, currently ranked world no. 113, suffered a defeat against Italy’s Sara Errani by 6-2, 6-7 and 6-4.
