Joe Mixon of the Cincinnati Bengals is set for an Arthroscopic Knee Surgery

Joe Mixon; the running back for the Cincinnati Bengals is in need of an arthroscopic knee surgery after suffering an injury in the Thursday match against Baltimore Ravens. Baltimore ravens were defeated by 34-23.

Running back Joe Mixon has seen team doctors who will conduct further tests before giving go ahead on the surgery this Saturday.

22 years old Mixon left the Thursday’s game in the first half but was returned to the field in the fourth quarter. He made a key run of 21 yards that resulted in a field goal for team. He finished the season game with 21 carries for 84 yards for the Bengals who are 2-0 in this season.

After the game Mixon told media, “it feels weird. My knee is hurting. Other than that it is just only a mental effect. But when you want to play giving it your 100% and something is bothering you, and then it is not mental at all. I just had to check it out mentally and hold it out physically”.

Mixon was drafted by Bengals back in 2017’s draft from Oklahoma. During his rookie year he made 626 rushing yards and four touchdowns.

In the season opener match of Bengals vs. Colts; Mixon also made 95 carrying yards.

In the absence of Mixon, primary running back duties will be transferred to back up player Giovanni Bernard.

26 years old Giovanni has made 46 catches per game in his 5 years career only with Cincinnati Bengals.
