Joshua Buatsi gain seventh-round knockout win against Ryan Ford

In the light-heavyweight fight held between Joshua Buatsi and Ryan Ford on Saturday night at The O2, Buatsi ended the fight with his 7th round KO punch.

The much-anticipated fight of the division was taken to the 6t round for the first time before the fight ended with a stoppage. Ford later complained that he suffered a low blow that contributed to his defeat.

Buatsi came out into the fight with search to deliver stinging jabs to the crouched stance of his opponent. Ford was withstanding all the body shots of his opponent with ease in the first round.

Tin the 2nd round, Ford was able to find the range to deliver some lopping right punches to make Buatsi aggressive as he delivered first an uppercut followed by a chopping right punch during the 3rd.

Buatsi was made to work in the 4th round but Ford was able to stand his ground after delivering a blurry condition.

Buatsi had never fought past 6 rounds and was now entering into the unknown territory and then he was pushed to the 7th round. However, shortly his career’s 10th stoppage win came after few moments.

A left hook of Buatsi in the 7th cased Ford’s legs to tumble and then Buatsi to ram in body shot after body shot with one of the shots appeared to have slipped below Ford’s belt. Still, Ford fell on to the canvas and referee counted him out.

Buatsi said, “We were rolling with the flow of the fight.  He hit me behind my head and we did not complain. This is a fighting sport.”
