Savannah Marshall beats James Tennyson with a huge KO to extend her winning record

In the Saturday night boxing fight between Savannah Marshall and Daniele Bastieri held at The O2, Marshall ended the fight for the lightweight division with a 2nd-round KO.

Marshall, who happens to be an amateur boxing world champion was fighting this match as a debut with the Matchroom Boxing and was able to dominate her Brazilian opponent with ease. With this 3rd stoppage victory in a row, Marshall extends her winning record to now 7-0.

Marshall, aka the Silent Assassin, said that she now wants to remain active on the fighting front and will now be back to fight on October 19th a the Newcastle.

Marshall said, “I was expecting to come towards me like a bull but she did not. It took me a few rounds to get into the fight. I am now 7-0 and I will be back on October 19th in Newcastle for a massive set up.”

The 28 years old boxer started her opening round on a light foot and by the 2nd round, she was clearly the dominant of the two fighters as she used her reach to land in heavy hits.

Marshal landed a big right hook in the 3rd round caused the face of Bastieri to be reddened and also bloody and the one-sided punishment continued for the next 2 rounds. The fifth ended in the 5th round with two devastating lefts by Marshall as the Brazilian fighter fell on the canvas and referee called the fight off.”
