Karl-Heinz Rummenigge; Chairman of the Bayern Munich says that Referees should protect players

Bayern Munich’s chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge demands from FA referees to protect the players from getting hurt. What prompted this sudden outburst; the injuries that Corentin Tolisso and Rafinha suffered during their weekend match.

Tolisso; the French cup winner sustained an injury of cruciate ligament tear after dealing with a tackle on his right knee. He is expected to be out in few months.

In the same game; Rafinha also offered from a tore ankle strap ligament that has placed him on the side lines.

Rummenigge said that, “it cannot go on like this anymore, we won’t be able to put out 11 players like this. We also do not like the other teams are playing against us. Something has to be done for sorting out this problem. We ask the DFB (German FA) Referees as well as the FA to protect our players.

According to Rummenigge, German teams are playing dirty deliberately just to not let them secure a seventh win in the Bundesliga this season too.

He added to his statement that, these acts are under the public motto, ‘stop Bayern Munich by any means’”.

Bayern in addition to Tolisso and Rafinha will also not be putting Kingsely Coman on the field who suffered from an injury earlier in the season match of Wednesday in the Champion League.
