Kevin Roberts is the new Chief Executive of Cricket Australia

Kevin Roberts has been chosen to be appointed as the new chief executive for Cricket Australia.

Kevin Roberts; the former New South Wales batsman has been promoted to the seat of Chief of Operating officer will take over this new job after it was previously resigned by James Sutherland back in June 2018.

Sutherland after serving the position since 2001 recently resigned from his post two months of the ball tampering incident. Along with cricketers involved, the national head coach Darren Lehmann also left the team.

Roberts has played 23 first-class matches for NSW in years 1994 to 1998. He has also worked as a development officer and coach for the team before taking this role. He has vowed that under his watch, the team is going to bounce back after facing a challenging year.

He said to media that, “it is a fact that game and Cricket Australia itself has faced some really difficult times this year but we are going to bounce back. We are going to make a comeback just like our organization has suffered from on and off challenges in its proud history.”

He further said to media that, “under my leadership, we are committed to providing the best experience of cricket for our fans who either watches or plays the game.”

Roberts had previously served on CA board in years between 2012 and 2015 before taking this executive role. He has also received the honor of being the Inaugural Chief Operating Officer for May of this year.

Before he started working for CA, Roberts was serving his time for the senior management roles with the renowned sportswear brands, which includes the likes of Adidas.
