Lionel Messi is omitted from Fifa’s ‘The Best’ Shortlist despite his particular play this year

Lionel Messi has been omitted from the official Fifa’s shortlist of ‘The Best”. The omittance of his has been carried out despite considering the fact that he has not only won La Liga, The Copa Del Rey and finished in European Major Leagues as a Top scorer for 2017-2018 season.

The official shortlist of three men contains players like Cristiano Ronaldo, Cristiano’s teammate from Real Madrid; Luka Modric and Mohammed Salah of Liverpool.

Ronaldo was able to make it to the list because of leading Real Madrid with success in the third season of the Champions League. He also managed to be the top scorer of the league by making 15 goals.

Modric was also the one who played another key role in the win of Croatia. Eh captained Croatia to World Cup final and won himself the Golden ball Award.

Salah managed to lead Liverpool into Finals of Championship League. The main reason for being on the three man shortlist was making record of 32 goals in a season of Premier League.
