Marseille wins over Brest by 2-1 to move up in French League

Nemanja Radonjic, the substitute for the Marseille scored a last-minute game-winning goal to mallow his 2nd placed team in the French League to beat Brest by 2-1.  With this win, Marseille is only trailing by 5 points against the Paris Saint Germaine in the French League.

 

The Serbian winger netted a goal only 57 seconds after Brest was able to equalize the game at the 89th minute made by Irvin Cardona.

Radonjic sped up down to the left and then curled in a shot to the right corner of the net that caused the crowd at Stade Velodrome cheering for Marseille to be relived. This was the goal Marseille was able to make after their 34 failed attempts.

For Marseille, this was their 4th win in a row under the coaching of André Villas Boas who has formerly coached for Chelsea and Tottenham and is now replacing Rudi Garcia, who was let go during the offseason.

Bouna Sarr, the defender of Marseille put the team ahead on the scoreboard with his 57th-minute goal following the great teamwork from teammates Benedetto and Dimitri Payet.

Alexandre Mendy, the forward for the Brest was given a red card deep in the injury time for his heavy tackle to Hiroki Sakai, right back of the Marseille. However, that decision got changed to Yellow Card after a video replay.

Up next, PSG, the Defending champions of the French League will have a chance to regain their 8 points lead f they gain a win against Monaco this Sunday.
