Milan held to 0-0 draw against Sampdoria to 0-0 in return of Zlatan Ibrahimovic in Serie A

While the A Milan did get a lot of help in the comeback of Zlatan Ibrahimovic to the team but they were still unable to win the match of Serie A on Monday against Sampdoria as they suffered a 0-0 draw.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic, the 38 years old soccer star who had helped AC Milan win their last title of Serie A back in 2011, rejoined his old club for the end of the season with an option to be in the team for next year.

Stefano Pioli, the coach of AC Milan said, “The return of Zlatan Ibrahimovic was a positive impact for the club. He immediately gave the team support which it was looking for. The team is still not used to his presence. In the end, we could have had looked for him more and his physical prowess will give us the extra solution to win the games.”

A crowd of more than 60000 flocked over to the San Siro to watch the return of Zlatan Ibrahimovic to the team after 8 years. There was a huge banner held by the crowd which read, “A new challenge to live together, welcome back Ibra.”

Still, there was another banner that read about the embarrassment that AC Milan suffered in the loss of their Serie A match against Atalanta; their worst in the last 21 years. The banner read simply “Atalanta-Milan 5-0.”

Milan has failed to score a goal in its last three matches of Serie A. Zlatan Ibrahimovic was sent on the field during the 55th minute after Sampdoria started to take an aggressive approach in the 2nd half.

As for the Serie A match of Juventus VS Cagliari, Ronaldo was on fire as he scored his first hat trick of the year to lead the team’s dominant 4-0 victory.

Juventus is currently maintaining its position at the top of the Serie A, which it also shares with Inter Milan. Inter won its last match against Napoli by 3-1.
