Millsap and Jokic led Nuggets’ 124-98 win over Blazers to have 3-2 series lead

Paul Millsap is showing everyone how it is really done on the court.

Millsap scored 29 points, 19 of which were scored in the first half of the Tuesday night game between Denver Nuggets and Portland Trail Blazers. Millsap and Jokic led the Nuggets for a blowout win over the Trail Blazers by 124-98 as Nuggets are now on their way to their first-ever Western Conference finals since the last decade.

34 years old Millsap has played as a forward for the Nuggets for nearly 100 games in the playoffs and he has injected his experience into this series to motivate the young cast of Nuggets.

Jamal Murray, talking about Millsap said, “It is not his first time. He has been here before. He is showing everybody how to work the ropes. He is doing all the little things that can help us win the games and also set a tone for the team.”

In the best of seven series, Millsap is averaging in 19 points along with 9.6 boards as he led his team to have a 3-2 lead for the 2nd round series of the Western Conference playoffs.

As for Portland Trail Blazers, they were again led by Damian Lillard in this game as he scored 22 points. He said that it is exhausting for him to face the waves of the young sharpshooters that Nuggets have been sending his way.

Lillard said, “And when all of it fails, you have to guard Millsap. He is a trouble for the guys to defend against as he is in the paint. He is not only making face-up jumpers but also the 3-pointers. You have to find him in the transition and then he becomes a monster on the glass.”

Nikola Jokic again displayed his amazing performance as he scored 25 points along with 19 rebounds for the team along with having tied a playoff high for the franchise. Jamal Murray also contributed with his 18 points along with 9 assists.
