Minnesota Vikings 37-17 New York Jets; Adam Thielen is tied for the NFL Receiving record in a win

On the Sunday night football, Minnesota Vikings came out victorious against their opponents New York Jets by 37-17. The Jets’ rookie quarterback Sam Darnold was intercepted three times.

Darnold also only completed 17 of his 42 passes for 206 yards. He did receive help from his wide receivers who dropped ball numerous times.

On the other hand, Adam Thielen of the Vikings was able to make out with his seventh straight 100 yard receiving game. With this, he has tied with the previous record holder of the Houston’s Oiler Charley Henningan for the NFL record of “Most Consecutive 100 yard games for a season”.

Kirk Cousins, the Vikings quarterback connected with Thielen in the opening drive as they scored a 34 yard score.

Minnesota Vikings move up in the season by 4-2-1 in the season and currently leading the NFC North. On the other hand, Jets drop by 3-4 in the AFC East.

Vikings 7-0 Jets: Kirk Cousins made a 34-yard touchdown pass to Adam Thielen.

Vikings 7-7 Jets: Sam Darnold made a 12-yard touchdown pass to Chris Herndon.

SECOND QUARTER

Vikings 10-7 Jets: Bailey made a 26-yard field goal.

THIRD QUARTER

Vikings 17-7 Jets: Latavius Murray made an 11-yard touchdown run.

Vikings 20-7 Jets: Bailey made a 22-yard field goal.

Vikings 20-10 Jets: Myers made a 55-yard field goal.

FOURTH QUARTER

Vikings 27-10 Jets: Murray made a 38-yard touchdown run.

Vikings 27-17 Jets: Darnold made a one-yard touchdown run.

Vikings 34-17 Jets: Cousins made a 34-yard touchdown pass to Aldrick Robinson.

Vikings 37-17 Jets: Bailey made a 43-yard field goal.
