Paul Millsap had to leave the game to get his stitches and then came back in time to save his team to get their big win against Minnesota Timberwolves.
Millsap scored 25 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists while Jamal Murray added in the other 18 points to lead Denver Nuggets for a win by 103-101 on Wednesday night against Minnesota Timberwolves.
From Timberwolves side, Karl Anthony Towns led the team with his 22 points and Erick Rose also pitched in with his 20 points for the night. Timberwolves were able to maintain the lead until third quarter but they still lost to Nuggets in their second consecutive defeat.
Millsap made a return with 7 minutes to the game and played the rest of the fourth quarter and led the Piston’s win.
Malone said to media, “He, Millsap is a tough cat. I am sure that he is going to have one hell of a headache the next morning. He is surely a pro and he came back in and wanted to get right back in the game and helped the team pull this victory”.
Timberwolves head coach Tom Thibodeau said, “We were searching for the win. I thought they gave us a lift but then they got us back. The third quarter was a problem for us”.
Next, Denver Nuggets will host Orlando Magic on Friday night as for Minnesota Timberwolves they will be paying against Brooklyn Nets on Friday night.
