Oleksandr Usyk has admitted and respected the power of “Lionheart” Tony Bellew, told by Usyk’s team.

Alexander Krassyuk of K2 Promotions; who works for the Usyk’s Match room told media that, “Usyk respects all of his opponents. He does give credit to Bellew’s power and strength”.

He further stated, “He is aware of the fact that his opponent in this fight is Lionheart. However he is still confident in his training and all the hard work that he has put in for the last 16 years of training.”

Usyk made it into the boxing world’s limelight when he won an Olympic gold medal in 2012. After that he defeated Marco Huck, Mairis Briedis and Murat Gassiev in their home countries. He was able to gain his first world title in his 10th career fight.

Bellew after his meeting with Usyk on Saturday night said to media that, “of course he was trying to get me down with a staredown. If he believes that is going to work then forget it works if he thinks this he is a big fool. I am not afraid of any fighter and certainly not of Usyk. He tried giving me the crazy Ukrainian look so I just gave him back a Souse one.”
