In the quarterfinals match of the Palmero Ladies Open played between the event’s top-seeded Kiki Bertens and Jasmine Paolini, Bertens came on top to win the meet up to reach the semis of the tournament.
Bertens won over his opponent by 6-4, 1-6 and 6-1 to set up her semifinals match against Spanish player Paula Badosa.
Earlier ion the day, 21 years old Badosa was able to defeat the Dutch player Arantxa Rus by 6-2 and 6-1 to make it to her WTA career’s maiden ATP semifinal.
As for the 8th seeded player Jil Teichmann and he rematch against Anna-Lena Friedsam ended with her opponent leaving he match following the right adductor injury.
The Swiss Teichmann will now play in the semis against Ludmilla Samsonova who won against Fiona Ferro by 6-7, 6-3 and 6-4.
