Pan Pacific Open; Karolina Pliskova won the tournament by defeating Naomi Osaka

Naomi Osaka finally suffered the defeat after her continuous win streak in the Pan Pacific Open. She got defeated by the former World no. 1 Karolina Pliskova in the final held at Tokyo.

Naomi the newly crowned US Open Champion who was also bidding to win the first Japanese player to win his event as ell since 1995 got defeated by 6-4 and 6-4.

With this defeat Osaka’s ten match winning streak of the tournament came to an end. Karolina Pliskova who is now ranked 8th just one place below Osaka has gained her 11th major tour title of her career.

Osaka opened up the match with a huge ace but due to a netted backhand, Pliskova got the chance she needed to gain the break point in the first set.

Second set was also the same as first one, when both of the players were on top of each other. Until Pliskova managed to pounce in game 9 and broke her opponent to love and thus giving her a chance to serve pout for title.

Just as Osaka started the match with an ace, Pliskova also ended the set with same poetic way.
