Team Europe led to victory of Laver cup by Alexander Zverev

In a tense tie breaker of a match, Alexander Zverev defeated Kevin Anderson and led the Tem Europe to claim the victory for the Laver Cup Crown on Sunday in Chicago.

German World no. 5 Zverev was able to defeat Wimbledon Finalist Kevin Anderson by 6-7, 7-5 and 7-10 claiming a 13-8 lead for Bjorn Borg’s side of Team Europe.

Zverev was able to defeat the singles a the United Centre and once again claimed the victory for the tournament which Team Europe won last year at the inauguration season in Prague.

Zverev said to media that, “It was such a close match all around. I am not saying about this match alone but the whole weekend. With only a few points here and there and the whole thing could have been different. I am really glad to have defended the title for the team by winning this match. Roger Federer is not the best coach ever but I leave that out. He was a great help in this tournament and especially this match. He gave me some tactical advice and it actually worked. It was due to his strategy that is was able to in the second set and win the tie break match too”.

Anderson was able to take the first set but German caught a break by winning the second set. He made five consecutive points to led he match for a tie break and led the Team Europe for a magical mark of 13-8.
