The owner of the NFL team Denver Broncos Pat Bowlen, after struggling for many years with Alzheimer’s disease has passed away at age 75.
Bowlen has been the owner of the Broncos for the last 35 years and he passed away in his house in the US sometime late on Thursday night.
A statement from his family reads as follows,
“We are saddened to inform everyone that our beloved husband and father, Pat Bowlen, passed on to the next chapter of his life late Thursday night peacefully at home surrounded by family. His soul will live on through the Broncos, the city of Denver and all of our fans. Our family wishes to express its sincere gratitude for the outpouring of support we have received in recent years. Heaven got a little bit more orange and blue tonight. Pat Bowlen had a competitive spirit with a great sense of humour. As fun-loving as he was, he always wanted us to understand the big picture. We will forever remember his kindness and humility. More important than being an incredible owner, Pat Bowlen was an incredible human being.”
As for the winner of 3 Super Bowls, the Denver Broncos, they issued their own statement in honor of their owner, which reads as follows,
“The Broncos extend their deepest sympathies to Mr. Bowlen’s wife, Annabel, his children, Amie, Beth, Patrick, Johnny, Brittany, Annabel, Christianna, and his entire family. The organization also offers its sincere condolences to Broncos fans, Mr. Bowlen’s friends and the many individuals around the National Football League who worked with him.”
