PSG’s defense suffers a huge blow in 3-2 loss at Montpellier

On Tuesday night game of football between Paris Saint-Germain and Montpellier, PSG’s defense suffered a massive blow as they were held to 3-2 in a tragic loss.

Despite PSG already clinching the French League title, their performance is getting worse by the day as the end of the season approaches and the fans are hurting over it.

This was a 4th defeat for the PSG in their last 5 games out of which they have lost 3 straight games and let opposing teams have 14 goals and also lost the French League final last Saturday.

Neymar was walking around the field with a look of disbelief on his face at the end of the game. The next 4 games of the league are still a long way ahead and many are speculating that Neymar would be looking for a possible place at the Real Madrid as they are rebuilding their roster anew under the return of the coach Zinedine Zidane.

As for Presnel Kimpembe, defender of PSG, he scored his second goal in his 2nd game as PSG was taking a lead twice before trailing behind for a loss.

The game was tied at 2-2 by the goal from Andy Delort, the Montpellier striker during the 80th minute of the game as they sliced the defense of PSG open. As for the winner of Montpellier in the 86th minute of the game, it was another gift from PSG’s side.

Buffon was rolling the ball in the penalty zone towards Leandro Paredes but the midfielder was unable to control the ball. The substitute player Souleymane Camara managed to lash the ball past Buffon to allow Montpellier to push past over Marseille for the 5th place on goal difference.

PSG previously lost the French League final in the penalty shootout against Rennes despite the fact that they were 2-0 after only 22 minutes into the game. In the Champions League, PSG managed to win over Manchester United by 2-0 in the round-of-16 but then lost by 3-1 in the return leg.
