Redick hits 6 3-pointers as 76ers hold off Magic by 114-106

JJ Redick was stuck in the slump but he had a pep talk with his wife, spent some time playing Legos with his children and had some therapeutic talk with his teammates.

He then turned all of this into a positive thing and delivered his own message to 76ers Coach Brett Brown saying, “Look, I am a big boy, I will figure it out.”

Redick indeed solved the problem as he scored 6 3-pointers to score a total of 26 points to lead the Philadelphia 76ers for a win over the Orlando magic by 114-106 on Tuesday night.

He said, “You are going to have these little blips in your career.”

Reddick was able to put these blips behind him to put the team at the eighth seed of the Eastern Conference Playoffs. As for Magic’s they have had a bizarre time lately as they managed to gain a win over big teams like Warriors, Raptors and Indiana Pacer but still lost to minor teams like Cleveland Cavaliers and New York Knicks.

Orlando Magic’s were led by Evan Fournier who scored 25 points while Aaron Gordon scored 24 points. Their missed shots in the warning time were the reason that cost them their playoff spot.

Steve Clifford, the Magic coach said, “If you want to win a game against a team like that on the road, you have got to make those shots. You have got to come back from these situations or you do not deserve a shot at the playoffs.”

As for 76ers they were playing without Embiid. However, Coach Brown said that he would be joining the team for their game on Friday night in Houston. Another player of 76ers, the big man Jonah Bolden was out of the game due to illness.

Up next, Orlando Magic will host a game against the Dallas Mavericks on Friday while Philadelphia 76ers will be playing against Chicago Bulls of Wednesday.
