It seems the Golden State has a Houston problem on their hands.
The wildly entertaining semifinals series of the Western Conference semifinals went into overdrive on Monday night as Houston Rockets defeated the Golden State Warriors by 112-108. With this win, Rockets have now leveled the series at 2-2 in another second-round series between the staunchest rivals.
James Harden took the lead of his team with his 38 points as he proved to be unstoppable against Warriors defense. As for Eric Gordon, he made another major contribution as he scored 20 points for the team as the two-time defending NBA champions have now a serious problem on their hand.
While the advantage of the Warriors has not seriously been swept clean it certainly has been yanked out of their grasp to some extent. As for the Rockets, they are now playing in an aggressive and desperate manner as the series has switched from Northern California to the Toyota Center.
As for the Golden State Warriors, they were again led by Kevin Durant in this game who scored 34 points but his teammates feel a little short on the Houston defense.
Stephen Curry and Durant both had chances to make some long-range shots but were not able to cash in on that, which ultimately cost their team the win.
Warriors tried in this game to push Curry into overdrive after his miserable Game 3 performance and he did manage to get 11 points in the first quarter but he ended the night with 30 points. It was not enough to lead his team to a win.
Regardless of what happened in this game, Game 5 is at hands as it will be played at the Oracle Arena. They might not have the home court advantage in the early few games but they still had a lot of confidence and more importantly Harden on their side to make a difference.
