Russell scores 30 as Nets beat Bulls by 122-117 for 9th straight at home

D’Angelo Russell has given the credit for the Tuesday’s night win to the Nets coach Kenny Atinkson who gave him a push this season.

After one night of having  being benched in the entire fourth quarter against the Boston Celtics, the Nets point guard made an impressive performance in the second half during the Brooklyn Nets VS Chicago Bulls game on Wednesday night.

Russell scored 30 points, 24 of which were scored in the final two quarters while Shahbazz Napier scored 24 points off bench as the Nets defeated Bulls by 122-117 on Tuesday night. This was the ninth straight win for the Brooklyn Nets at home.

Brooklyn Nets who improve to 28-24 this season, their players; Rondae Hollis-Jefferson scored 18 points while Joe Harris added 17 points for the team.

Russell said about Atkinson, “I give him a lot of credit to teaching me at the important moments. My IQ and my knowledge of the game have just rose to another level after learning from mistakes. He breaks down everything for us and films it together”.

Nets who were playing their third straight game without their reserve guard Spencer Dinwiddie due to his injury; have now won 13 of their last 14 games at the Barclays Center.

As for the Bulls, they were led by Zach Levine who scored 26 points while Jabari Parker scored 22 points with 9 rebounds. With this loss, Bulls have now lost 10 of their last 11 games.

Up next, Chicago Bulls will continue on their three-game road trip and will play against the Miami Heat on Wednesday night. As for Brooklyn Nets, they will play against the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday night.
