Serdar late goals allows 2-1 win of Schalke over Union in Bundesliga

Suat Serdar had a late goal for his team to let Schalke win over Union Berlin by 2-0 and also to move up into the rankings of the Bundesliga this season.

Serdar scored a goal in the 87th minute to lift his team on points in Bundesliga as the 12th radon is being led by Borussia Mönchengladbach. As for Union Berlin, their 4-game winning streak came to an end.

 

Benito Raman made a goal for Berlin during the 23rd minute as the ball went flying under the Schalke’s crossbar. However, the game got equalized in the 36th minute following a goal from Schalke’s Marcus Ingvartsen.

A replay showed that Robert Andrich fell following minimal contact from Matija Nastasic but Daniel Schlager, the on-field referee, pointed straight towards the spot and then there was no intervention made from the video referee as well.

Schalke had more than few chances to score during the 2nd half but they waited for the chance and that came in the form a mistake made by Neven Subotic as Los the ball as he came out of the defense.

Kutucu Ahmed then races ahead to set up his teammate Amine Harit who got faced by two defenders of Union Berlin and then made a pass to Serdar. Serdar was able to make true to this opportunity as he scored on the left.

Gladbach, which has its lead over Schalke in the Bundesliga, is going to have a home game against Freiburg this Sunday.
