Valladolid holds Celta for a 0-0 draw in the Spanish league

The Friday night game for the Spanish League between Valladolid and Celta was concluded with a 0-0 draw between the 2 teams.

With this draw, Celta remains in the regulation as they are one point form the safety before the round gets over this weekend. As for Valladolid, they are currently at 14th place in the Spanish League.

Santi Mina of the Valladolid had an opportunity for scoring a goal during the 90th minute, which could have been the winner. He made a cross free from the center of the area but it went wide.

Jorid Masip, the goalie for the Valladolid saved goal attempts from Pione Sisto, Iago Aspas, and Néstor Araújo, and all of them before halftime. The most serious threat for the Celta came during the start of the game from Valladolid’s Pablo Hervías but goalkeeper Serio Álvarez was able to stop the shot with one hand.

Aspas said of the game, “we were able to get in there are a few times but the shots won’t go in. above all of it, mine even did not go in during the first half. The point gain is a good thing but it is bad that we could get all 3 points.”

Celta, despite having a talented squad this tournament, was only able to win 3 games out of the 15 games of the round. Celta fired their coach named Fran Escribá at this month’s start.  They now are being coached by Óscar García and under his leadership, they have 1 win, 1 draw, and 1 loss.
