South and North Korea are seeking to jointly host the Summer Olympics of 2032. The announcement of this news was made in a conference held on Wednesday earlier this week held in Pyongyang, North Korea. This piece of joint hosting is a part of something bigger like the development of peace in the Korean peninsula in which both Korean leader Kim Jung Un and South Korean President Moon Jae In have agreed to the proposal of denuclearization.

As for the 2032 Summer Olympics are concerned, there is still details to be revealed about the organization of the games and which cities will these games be held in future.

In case these two nations decide to jointly host the Summer Olympics of 20-32, it will be the first time since 1988 when Olympics were hosted by Seoul, South Korea in the Korean Peninsula. While this is just a talk of the future, South Korea actually hosted the winter Olympics of 2018 in PyeongChang. During these Winter Olympics; both South and North Korean athletes formed their unified Olympic team for the first time.

The next three Olympic Games will be hosted by Tokyo in 2020, Paris in 2024 and Los Angeles in 2028. As for Beijing, it will host the Winter Olympics of 2022.

Germany on the other hand has already placed the bid for the multi-city Olympic plans along with Brisbane, Australia in the bidding war as well. Indian Olympic Committee has also shown its interest to host the 2032 Olympics Games.
