Aston Villa, after they got their first promotion back into the English Premier League, was able to win their first game by beating Everton by 2-0 on Friday night. The goals were made by their offseason signing player named Wesley Moraes and then the 2nd in the last half by the substitute player Anwar El Ghazi.
Wesley is a striker from Brazil who joined Villa from Brugge; a Belgian side club. He was able to run a pass from Jot to make a low far corner goal during the 21st minute of the game.
This was the first goal that Everton had to concede in this season after they had a 0-0 draw against Crystal Palace and then 1-0 win against Watford.
As for the last goal of Villa, it came literally in the last kick of the game after John McGinn started a counter from Villa’s side to slip the ball to Ghazi who then moved past Andre Gomes to slot the ball from underneath Everton’s goalkeeper named Jordan Pickford.
Villa, who is back in the play for Premier League after their absence of 3 years, opened the EPL with losses against Bournemouth and Tottenham.
