Washington Redskins 13-28 Philadelphia Eagles; Colt McCoy breaks leg in Redskins defeat

On the Monday night game of football between Washington Redskins vs. Philadelphia Eagles, Eagles came out victorious by 28-13.

Carson Wentz from Eagles side threw two TD passes as eagles stayed in the NFC playoff Hunt with this crucial win of the season.

Carson Wentz, QB for the Eagles completed 27 of his 39 passes for 306 yards for the night. With this win, Eagles are now 6-6 on the season and they are tied for the second place in the NFC East with Washington Redskins who are also 6-6 on the season and one game behind Dallas Cowboys who are 7-5 on the season.

Unfortunately for Redskins, defeat was not the only bad thing happened to them on Monday night. Their QB Colt McCoy suffered from a season-ending broken leg injury during the second quarter. He was replaced by Mark Sanchez.

McCoy himself was filling in after the starter Alex Smith of the Redskins who also suffered a season-ending broken leg injury in Week 11.

Redskins 0-7 Eagles: Carson Wentz made a six-yard touchdown pass to Golden Tate.

SECOND QUARTER

Redskins 3-7 Eagles: Dustin Hopkins made a 44-yard field goal.

Redskins 10-7 Eagles: Adrian Peterson made a 90-yard touchdown run.

Redskins 10-14 Eagles: Darren Sproles made a 14-yard touchdown run.

Redskins 13-14 Eagles: Hopkins made a 47-yard field goal.

FOURTH QUARTER

Redskins 13-22 Eagles: Wentz made a four-yard touchdown pass to Jordan Matthews.

Redskins 13-25 Eagles: Elliott made a 46-yard field goal.

Redskins 13-28 Eagles: Elliott made a 44-yard field goal.
