The much-anticipated match of boxing between Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder came to an unexpected draw at Los Angeles on Saturday night in Los Angles.
Tyson Fury declared after the split decision draw that “world knows the truth” as he was denied of his WBC Heavyweight title against Deontay Wilder.
Fur was able to make two comebacks from the knockout as he clambered up on the canvas during the 12th round. However, to his dismay, all three judges made the announcement of a split decision draw.
Fury had Wilder frustrated with his jab and straight right-hand punches but this American opponent’s late attacks caused him to lose the chance to win the WBC Belt on scorecards.
Fury said to media, “I am what you call a professional athlete who loves to box. Slip and slide, show my skills at 6 feet 9 inches and 260 lbs. I am not aware of anybody on this planet who can move like this.”
In the heated opener, Wilder delivered a nasty early left hook shot to Fury who replied with a crisp right in the closing seconds.
In the second round, Fury took the lead with his strings of jabs and rammed in a right hand before showboating the third round.
Wilder entered the fourth round eager to land a crisp right hand, but Alabama man’s efforts were halted by Fury’s stiff jab in the fifth round.
During the sixth round, Wilder swollen eye was a clear sign of Fury’s accurate work and he continued his play with a right hand in the seventh round. The fight being drifted away from Wilder, he swung desperate punches in the eighth round. Wilder aka the Bronze Bomber came into action during ninth as his chopping right hand sent Fury to the canvas.
Fury stood firm in the tenth as he stuck out his tongue. Fury stayed out of the danger in the 11thg but the brutal right hand from Wilder in the 11th round that caused the champion to lose it on the scorecards.
