Kareem Hunt released by Kansas City Chiefs over video of alleged attack

Kareem Hunt; the running back for the Kansas City Chiefs, has been released by the team after a video from back in February of him knocking over and kicking a woman at the Cleveland Hotel surfaced.

He was released by the Franchise on the Friday evening after he was placed on the commissioner’s exemption list.

The organization also made a statement that they were aware of the incident but were previously misled by Kareem about the whole thing.

23 years old Kareem Hunt was at the Chiefs practice facility until Friday where he was waiting for the Chiefs game against the Oakland Raiders. However, he is now making a trip back home after TMZ posted this video.

The video clearly shows Hunt being restrained by his friends many times but he still knocked over the woman to the ground and to make matter worse even kicked her. Police was called on the scene but no charges were filed.

Hunt moments after being released by the team made an apology statement, “I want to apologize for my actions and I deeply regret what it did. I now hope o move on from this”.

After Hunt was selected in the last year’s 3rd round of the NFL draft he led the league as the rookie with 1327 rushing yards and 8 touchdowns.

He was still maintaining his best form in this season as he ran for 824 rushing yards for the Chiefs as they took control of the AFC West with their 9-2 start this season.
