Wizards beat Hornets by 130-126, but lose Wall for the season

Washington Wizarda will now have to show more balance than what they showed on Saturday night game against the Charlotte Hornets as they have now lost their All-Star guard John Wall with a season-ending injury.

Trevor Ariza scored 24 points to lead the Washington Wizards to win over the Charlotte Hornets by 130-126. H was one of the seven players for the Wizards who finished on the night with double-digit scores. To add misery to their victory, Wizards have also lost their All-Star Guard John Wall due to a season-ending injury.

Ariza talking about the Wall’s injury said, “Of course, losing John is a huge deal for us, he is like the head of the snake. However, when something like that happens, we have to find ways to win. This is what you call a team”.

Thomas Bryant of the Wizards scored 21 points with 10 rebounds while Ariza made 9 assists for the night.

As of the Hornets, despite Kemba Walker scoring 41 points, Wizards were able to win their third game in the last 12 games. Wizards also announced that Wall will undergo a procedure to address his bone spurs in his left heel and this will at least take six months for full recovery.

Walker, who scored 24 points during the fourth quarter, was on his way to make a comeback win for the Hornet when he made a 3-pointer shot with 1.9 seconds to the play.

Walker talking about team’s defeat said, “It was not offense. It is the defense that usually gets a team over the top. That is when we are at our best and tonight it was not it”.

Up next, Hornets will host a game against the Orlando Magic on Monday while Washington Wizards will host a game against the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday night.
