O’Reilly’s goal breaks tie to let St. Louis Blues win over Stars by 3-1

Ryan O’Reilly was able to stop his season scoring drought with a play playing for the St. Louis Blues.

Ryan O’Reilly was able to break the tie between the St. Louis Blues and the Dallas Stars to give a lift to Blues to win the game by 3-1 on the Friday night.  With this win, St. Lois Blues extend their lead for the Central Division by 5 points atop the Winnipeg Jets.

Ryan O’Reilly got a pass from Ivan Barbashev and then move past Ben Bishop, the goalie for the Stars to give the team the 2-1 lead with 3 minutes to the 3rd period.

This was the third goal for O’Reilly since he scored the last one on 9th November playing at Calgary.

Craig Berube, the coach for the St. Louis Blues said, “You know, it is only a matter of time before the goals start to go in. it is really nice to see him get the goal.”

As for Bishop, who had 37 saves for the Dallas Stars in this game, he did not feel too great about it.

O’Reilly said, “It has been really frustrating to not be able to contribute offensively like I was needed to.  It was the play for the guys on the ice for me to be able to score like that.”

Jake Allen, the goalie for the St. Louis Blues had 31 saves expect the one from Roope Hintz after he came out of the penalty box. With this win, St. Louis Blues are on 9-game point’s streak for a road game. They are 7-0-2 in that regard.

Up next, St. Louis Blues will have a home game on Saturday night when they will take on the Pittsburgh. As for the Dallas Stars, they will have a road game on Sunday night against Minnesota Twins.
