Daniel Theis; Centre of Boston Celtics is out indefinitely following his foot injury

Daniel Theis, the Centre player for the NBA team Boston Celtics is out of the season indefinitely following his foot injury. According to the team, he suffers from a tear of plantar fascia in his right foot.

Theis who is dealing with this excruciating foot injury doesn’t require surgery, he could still take up to five to eight weeks to make a full recovery.

Earlier this year, this German player already missed out the last three months of his first NBA season after he underwent knee surgery.

Brad Stevens; Head Coach for the Celtics said to media that he is hopeful that Theis will not be out of the season like the last time. In his last season, Theis averaged in 5.3 points, 4.3 rebounds for the 63 games he played in.

Stevens said to media, “the indefinite timeline that we are hearing sounds even worse than the timeline we have been given by doctors”.

He further stated, “This is not going to derail the season for Celtics. We are going to see as to how much he recovers in the coming few weeks and then we will decide what to do in the future. Still, the doctors think that it is going to be a fast recovery which is very fortunate”.

Daniel Theis; German Player was signed by Celtics from the German to-tier basketball league last summer. In this season he has already shown promising efforts on the court as he scored in an average of 6 points, 3.4 rebounds in the last five games of this year’s season.
