Dane Fowler Jr.; the former Jacksonville Jaguars defensive end has been acquired by the NFL team Los Angeles Rams just before the NFL Trade Deadline. He was traded for the 2019’s third-round draft pick and also for the 2020 fifth round pick.
According to many inside sources, other NFL franchises like Green Bay Packers and New York Jets were also interested in Fowler. However, the LA Rams the current undefeated team in NFL came out with the best deal.
Fowler who previously played as the defensive end for the Jaguars will now be paying as the outside linebacker for Rams’ defensive plan.
Fowler was drafted s the third overall pick by Jaguars in 2015 and was entering his final year of the rookie deal. However, Jaguars declined from extending his fifth-year option for the contract.
In this season so far, Fowler has two sacks, and one forced fumble in past seven games. He totaled in eight sacks and three forced fumbles last year. In his total 39 games carer, 24 years old players have made 14 sacks and is regarded as a pass rush specialist for the Jaguars.
Other than that LA Rams, who have been aggressive in this year’s trade market, also acquired Brandin Cooks, Marcus Peters and Aqib Talib during the off season.
