On the Thursday night NBA game of Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Utah Jazz, Timberwolves came on top by winning by 1280-125. All of this was only glorified by the massive achievement of the Timberwolves’ guard; Derek Rose who gave his first 50 pointer game of the NBA career and the most surprising one since 2000.
After seven years of the career in NBA, he became the youngest player to win the NBA’s MVP award. In the past six years, he has averaged in more than 20 points per game. However, on Thursday night he gave out one of the best performances of the NBA history. 30 years old Rose managed to deliver 50 points on his 31 shots. In those shots, he nailed four of 7 three-pointers along with shooting 8 of 11 from the free throw line.
Rose even managed to make this win much sweeter with two go-ahead buckets during the fourth quarter’s final minute.
In the past two seasons, Rose spent them on one-year deals and with two different teams. He even left the Cleveland Cavaliers for figuring out his future in the sport. Considering that he has long since fallen from his MVP grace, the Thursday night achievement caused him to be emotional and was totally understandable.
