Following the resignation of the former UK Sports Minister Tracey Crouch last week, Mims Davies has been appointed as the new Sports Minster.
Crouch reasons for the resignation from the post is the claim that government has delayed the slashing of the maximum stake on fixed-odds betting terminals.
The Chatham and Aylesford MP also stepped down after making the announcement of the budget that the cut from 100 pounds to 2 pounds will not be placed until October 20-19.
Crouch wrote on her Twitter account, “It is with great sadness that I reveal that I have resigned from one of the best jobs in the government. Thank you all for the kind messages I received throughout the day. Politicians come and go but principles are to stay with us forever.”
