With 14 of 23 rounds complete, Kimi Antonelli holds an 81-point lead in the 2026 Formula 1 drivers’ championship. The Mercedes driver has won eight of the 14 grands prix this season — China, Japan, Miami, Canada, Monaco, Belgium, Italy and Spain (Madrid) — and sits on 292 points ahead of team-mate George Russell (211), Ferrari’s Lewis Hamilton (191), McLaren’s Lando Norris (186) and Charles Leclerc (167). Max Verstappen is sixth on 145 for Red Bull, with Oscar Piastri seventh on 120.
Mercedes have already opened a 145-point gap at the top of the constructors’ championship on 503 points, with Ferrari second on 358, McLaren third on 306 and Red Bull fourth on 230. Racing Bulls (77) and Alpine (68) are locked in a battle for fifth, while Haas (21), Audi (17), Williams (11), Aston Martin (3) and newcomers Cadillac (0) complete the table.
Nine rounds remain, offering a maximum of 25 points per grand prix plus up to eight for the Singapore Sprint. The remaining schedule is: Azerbaijan Grand Prix, Baku, September 24-26 (race on Saturday, September 26); Bahrain Grand Prix, Sepang, Malaysia, October 2-4; Singapore Grand Prix, Marina Bay, October 9-11 (Sprint weekend); United States Grand Prix, Circuit of The Americas, October 23-25; Mexico City Grand Prix, October 30-November 1; São Paulo Grand Prix, Interlagos, November 6-8; Las Vegas Grand Prix, November 19-21; Qatar Grand Prix, Lusail, November 27-29; and the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, Yas Marina, December 4-6.
The Bahrain Grand Prix is being run at Sepang International Circuit this year after the original April date was postponed following the outbreak of war involving Iran; the event keeps its name because the Bahraini government remains the primary promoter. The Saudi Arabian Grand Prix was cancelled outright.
Elsewhere in the standings, Red Bull’s Isack Hadjar is eighth on 71 points, Racing Bulls’ Liam Lawson ninth on 59 and Alpine’s Pierre Gasly rounds out the top ten on 41. Rookie Arvid Lindblad has 31 points for Racing Bulls, while Cadillac’s Valtteri Bottas and Sergio Perez are still searching for their first points of the season.
