Cincinnati Bengals quarterback; And Dalton is out for the rest of the NFL season after suffering a thumb injury.
Dalton suffered from this injury after he was trying to recover from a fumble during the second half of Sunday night football against Cleveland Browns.
On Monday, he was placed on injured reserve after tests were conducted which revealed that he had suffered a ligament damage that will require a surgery.
Bengals who have so far lost 13 games this season has now 11 players on the injured reserve. Recently they have claimed QB Tom Savage from the waivers of San Francisco 49ers.
Dalton was replaced by Jeff Driskel for the rest of the game in which he completed 17 of his 29 passes for 155 yards and 1 TD. He is likely to remain the starter for the Bengals for the rest of the season.
