Colt McCoy; the QB for Washington Redskins suffered from a fractured fibula in his right leg during the second quarter of the game against Philadelphia Eagles on Monday night.
McCoy was trying to avoid a sack while sliding when the Eagles defense rushed towards him. He placed his right leg in the turf and the lower part of the leg along with ankle whipped into Malcolm Jenkins’s knee.
McCoy after his injury was replaced by Mark Sanchez who had been signed two weeks prior by Redskins and saw his first NFL action in the past two years. He played last time for Dallas Cowboys back on January 1st, 2017.
McCoy got his chance as the team’s QB after the starter Alex Smith broke his leg in the Week 11 hen Redskins played against Houston Texans.
There is no guarantee as to Sanchez will remain as a starter for the Washington or not.
