The Saturday night fight between Jono Carroll and Guillaume Frenois for the IBF Final eliminator in Sheffield Area ended with a split decision draw.
Jono Carroll, the bearded Irishman and his French opponent Guillaume Frenois fought relentlessly on the Saturday night in the 12 round super-featherweight match.
However, both of these fighters were not able to beat the scores of the draw at 115-113, 113-115 and 114-114.
The winner of this match would have been up for a fight against the slick American boxer Tevin Farmer for the IBF Belt next year. Now with the current state of affairs, both these opponents might be looking for a rematch to secure their mandatory shot.
