Giannis Antetokounmpo and his teammates from Milwaukee Bucks found themselves another motivation after their first loss of the playoffs that led them to the Eastern Conference Finals.
Kyrie Irving and Boston Celtics could do little to stop the Bucks.
Antetokounmpo scored 20 points along with 8 rebounds and 8 assists as Bucks defeated Boston Celtics on Wednesday night by 116-91 to win the semi finals of the Eastern Conference and advance to the finals.
After having a clean series sweep of the Detroit Pistons, the top seeded team of the Eastern Conference struggled during their Game 1 against the Boston Celtics as they lost in what was the worst performance of the team in the playoffs for the season.
However, Antetokounmpo soon took charge of his team to lead them to win 4 straight games as he made a combined score of 65 points.
Antetokounmpo said, “I think our mindset has changed greatly. In the first game, we were not that much focused. We were not playing as ourselves. As for the next 4 games, we came with an entirely different approach and a different mindset.”
In the Game 7 of the 2nd round series against Boston Celtics, Bucks made a balanced attack as their five players scored in double digits. Khris Middleton finished with 19 points and 8 rebounds while Eric Bledsoe added in his 18 points for the team.”
Up next, Milwaukee Bucks will be playing the in the Eastern Conference finals against the winner of the Toronto VS Philadelphia series. Currently Raptors are ahead on the series with a 3-2 lead with the latest win being earned on Thursday night at the Game 6.
