Embiid’s double-double leads 76ers past Knicks by 117-91

Joel Embiid once had to abandon the wish of his father of being the volleyball player and instead of applying basketball. His dad made a rare trip to Philly on Wednesday night where Joel Embiid proved to his dad that his choice for making dunks was a wise one then doing the digs.

Joel Embiid put on a spectacular show for his father or the first time this season when he completed for the night with 26 points and 14 rebounds as he led the Philadelphia 76ers for a win against New York Knicks by 117-91 on Wednesday night.

Knicks rookie Kevin Knox said to media, “Embidd was doing some damage in the post”.

The 7 feet tall player scored his 17 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists in the first half alone. Embidd finished for the night by being the NBA’s Best 21st Double-Double as he helped 76ers to improve by 11-1 at home.

J.J. Redick from 76ers side finished for the night with 24 points out of which four were 3 pointers and Ben Simmons scored 14 points.

Knicks were led by Enes Kanter who scored 17 points for the night. Knicks have so far played 9 out of 12 of their games on the road this season. They were coming off from a bad defeat against Detroit Pistons on Tuesday night.

Up next, New York Knicks will host Milwaukee Bucks on Friday night. Philadelphia 76ers will be up against Washington when they host a game on Friday.
