Patrik Laine; Jets forward scored five-goal night that lets a lucky fan to win $1 million

The Winnipeg Jets forward Patrik Laine was not only “Money” for his team on Saturday night game but also literally the money for a fan in Winnipeg.

Christopher Haley; the lucky fan in Winnipeg won the 1 million dollar prize from the promotion of the supermarket chain Sobeys Safeway’s “Score & Win”. The promotion plays by selecting a random shopper and allowing them to win prizes for the achievement of the player. The promotion’s prizes are set for achievements like; 3 goal game, 4 goal game, and 5 goal game.

Safeway announced that Haley will now receive a sum of 50000 dollars for the next 20 years.

As a result of three-goal game, the fan wins a 1000 dollars prize; four-goal game wins a fan 100,000 dollars prize and the five-goal game results in fan receiving the prize of 1 million dollars.

Now Haley is able t not only get h million dollar prize but also the 1000 dollars prize in Safeway gift card but also will take home and an additional sum of 100,000 dollars.

Laine set the NHL franchise record with his five goals for the night. He is leading the league with his 19 goals in past 22 games.
