George, Westbrook lead Thunder to push past Bulls by 121-96

Paul George’s magnificent performance was all that Oklahoma City Thunder needed in the first half to win the Monday night’s basketball game.

On the Monday night game of basketball between Oklahoma City Thunders VS Chicago Bulls, Thunder came out victorious by 121-96.

Paul George led the Thunder with his game-high 24 points out which he scored 16 points in the final five minutes of the game’s first half.

George said, “I did my work early.”

Thunder coach Billy Donovan said of George, “I thought he played incredibly tonight. He played in an unbelievable manner tonight.”

Bulls caught on to George Paul and changed their defensive strategy against him resulting in fewer opportunities for Paul in the second half.

Russell Westbrook from Thunder’s side scored 13 points off his 16 rebounds and 11 steals for his 111th career Triple-Double. Other players from Thunder; Steven Adams added 19 points while Dennis Schroder scored 18 points for the night.

Chicago Bulls were led by Lauri Markkanen and Bobby Portis who both scored 16 points each. Markkanen also added his 15 rebounds for the Bulls.

With only 4:27 left to the clock of the second half, a melee broke put suddenly near the Thunder’s bench after Chicago’s Cameron Payne fouled Terrance Ferguson and simultaneously, Westbrook and Kris Dunn exchanged pushes.

The confrontation was ended after the Bulls coach Jim Boylen pulled the Thunder forward Jerami Grant out of the scuffle by his neck.

Up next, Chicago Bulls will play against Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday whereas Oklahoma City Thunder will play against Sacramento Kings on Wednesday.
