Deontay Wilder’s team representatives have no interest to meet up with Joshua for negotiating a fight between two fighters.
IBF, WBA and WBO heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua after defending his title in fight against Alexander Povetkin announced that his next opponent is going to be Deontay Wilder; the WBC Titleholder.
Wilder is currently set to face off against Tyson Fury. However Joshua’s promoter Eddie Herne and his father are trying their best to negotiate a deal before a showdown at the Wembley Stadium between Joshua and Wilder or the undisputed title on April 13th.
Shelly Finkle; Wilder’s team representative told media that, “I have sent three separate emails to Barry stating that I have no interest in meeting Barry unless I have a real offer for a fight between Wilder and Joshua”.
He further added that, “Barry and I have been in the business for far too long to know what that offer would look like”.
Eddie Hearn in his previous talks with media said hat, “we have got only couple of months and we have made it clear that we cannot wait until the Wilder VS. Fury fight on December 1st to see what happens. We want to get a deal in place before then. Our absolute focus right now is to have a fight with Wilder for the undisputed title in April.”
